Abstract

Language changes continuously under the influence of historical, social, and cultural factors. Diachronic linguistics studies language development over time, while synchronic linguistics analyzes language at a specific period. This article compares the English and Uzbek languages from both perspectives and discusses their historical evolution, structural features, and modern characteristics. The study reveals that although the two languages belong to different language families, they share common patterns of lexical expansion and linguistic adaptation.
