IMPLEMENTING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ALGORITHMS IN IOT DEVICES USING EDGE INTELLIGENCE

the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms into Internet of Things (IoT) devices has increasingly become critical in enhancing the functionality and efficiency of IoT devices. The use of AI algorithms in IoT systems is discussed against the background of edge intelligence, where real-time information is processed and decisions are taken close to the data source. With the help of edge computing, IoT devices can be freed from constraints of latency, bandwidth, and privacy concerns related to cloud processing. This paper identifies some of the AI techniques that are applicable at the edge, benefits, and provides case studies of successful deployments in smart homes, healthcare, and industrial automation. The paper identifies that embracing AI at the edge not only optimizes system efficiency but also fosters innovation in IoT applications.
